This place has been doing "inventory" of food and drinks for well over a week. They are "only selling gas & nicotine" according to their signage. What's really going on here?

I am horrified by the rudeness of the employee of this gas station and the store! We used to come here all the time, there was a young, dark-haired, polite employee, and there were no problems...
