The company also distributes electrical items manufactured by more than 200 factories. The product line it offers includes ballasts, outlet boxes and covers, conduits and raceways, distribution equipment and exhaust fans, hoods and ceiling fans. The company is a member of the Hialeah Chamber of Commerce and the Latin Builders Association of Florida. Manhattan Electric has received several certificates of appreciation from the community as well as several Electrical Supplier of the Year awards. Manuel Lopez and his wife Yolanda purchased Manhattan Electric in 1973. The company began as an electrical supplier.
