Florida United Methodist Children's Home is based in Enterprise, Fla. The center provides shelter to children who face sexual and physical abuse, abandonment and family breakdown due to divorce, drug abuse, illness and death of a parent. It receives referrals from families, schools, courts and other agencies. The center develops programs and serves children per their individual needs. Florida United Methodist Children's Home provides a variety of facilities and services for children, including cottages, regular meals, Sunday morning chapel services, and worship and special music activities. Its educational programs include vocational skills training, financial support and tutoring services. The center arranges several recreational activities for resident children. Its range of health care services for children includes physical examinations, maintenance of health records, immunization and medication monitoring. Florida United Methodist Children's Home is approved by the Council of Accreditation of Services for Families and Children.
