Richland Junior High

Crystal Lawns Elementary School, located in Joliet, Ill., is affiliated with the Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202. Founded in 1958, the school offers variety of educational and cocurricular programs to students in grades kindergarten through five. Its core curriculum includes English, arts, music, science, social studies, mathematics, and computer and physical education. Crystal Lawns Elementary School also provides hearing, media studies, band, reading recovery, instructional assistance, reading, speech, resource and special education programs. The school has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development, by enhancing communication between home and school. It offers a media center, which focuses on providing materials to enrich the curriculum, and assists in class projects and activities, and instruction and guidance.
