Barking Dog Bar & Grill opened its doors in December of 2003. Co owners Jeff Nahas and Greg Haley have lived in the Amesbury area for the past ten years and wanted to create a local restaurant that welcomed families and friends to gather, relax and enjoy good food with friendly service. Lovely! Good service, restaurant had casual ambience and the food was quite nice! Absolutely love the tater tots also haha

Nice bar with a calm atmosphere, good beer selection, and good prices. I've enjoyed the mac and cheeses, salads, and fried chicken a lot. Service is attentive but not overwhelming.

The chicken pesto sandwich on their homemade pita bread was our family favorite. Even though we moved out of Amesbury, we would always get takeout when we were in the area. Not sure what they did...

This is mainly a bar with a small menu. I did not enjoy my sandwich the menu stated chicken with spinach and artichoke and cheeses. I did not realize it was basically chicken artichoke dip inside...
