Furrer & Associates, Inc CPAs was founded in 2003 as a Cleveland area CPA firm. With a staff of 7 dedicated employees, we are able to provide a wide variety of services to small businesses and individuals throughout Northeast Ohio. Many of our clients are family owned businesses. To meet the needs of each client, we tailor our services to accounting, tax, and business advisor services. To better meet the needs of our clients, we have individualized services for clients in industries like technology based businesses, construction, manufacturing, real estate accounting and other service related industries. These individualized services have enabled us to address their industry specific challenges, compliance needs and standard tax and accounting practices. Steve earned his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan and was awarded a Bachelors of Science from Indiana University. Steve specializes in providing our clients financial and tax advisory in a variety of businesses, personal and family sucession and estate areas. Before founding this firm, he was the managing partner of our predecessor accounting firm for 10 years. Prior to that, he was employed for over 10 years by National City Corporation in various lending and credit areas and by Deloitte Haskins and Main Hurdman CPAs both "big five" CPA firms. Steve is an active community member in Avon Lake, Ohio with his involvement in various coaching and church responsibilities. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants ( AICPA ) and the Ohio Society of CPAs and holds the Accreditation in Business Valuation ( ABV ). John Gazzo, CPA John earned his BSBA at John Carroll University and joined predecessor firm in 1997 with over 30 years of experience. John received his securities license in 2002 and specializes in providing our clients various tax, accounting and financial planning services. He is a former councilman and is a member of Toastmasters International. Erin Steele, CPA Erin graduated in 1994 from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree. Prior to joining Furrer & Associates in January 2006, Erin was employed by regional and local public accounting firms specializing in bookkeeping, compilation and tax services for her clients. Erin has also worked as a financial analyst for a major printing and promotional products franchisor. Erin is a resident of Avon, Ohio and enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with her family.
