In 1940 our founder, Bob Grim, had a vision. Beginning with a portable welder and working in coal mines and steel mills, Bob Grim began manufacturing steel fuel-oil tanks, and purchased a truck to deliver them. As his two boys, Dick and Bill, grew up, they became involved in the family business. They brought their own interests and expertise with them, and the company expanded by adding a crane, two tractors and trailers. In time, the second generation of sons became active in the business too, and Grim's Crane Service evolved into a third-generation, family-owned corporation. Grandsons Scott Grim and Rob Grim plan to continue the family tradition by providing quality service to all of their customers.
