Wes and Robin Maynard started in the Restaurant business in 1988 in the small western town of Breckinridge, TX. After 4 years of operating in Breckenridge, they sold their shares of the business so they could move back home to Weatherford and open a place of their own. The plan was simple- offer great food and friendly service at reasonable prices, and do right by your employees and the community, and success will come to you. The doors to the Mesquite Pit opened in April of 1993 and we try to reach those goals every day. So please, sit back, get comfortable, and enjoy a great meal with our family, and let us know if you need anything. Because after all, The Mesquite Pit, first and foremost, belongs to you!

The chicken fried bacon is super good. I wasn't expecting the fireplace to be on.... I loved it. The service was great as well.
