Located just south of Charlottesville, Virginia, Michael Shaps is the winner of more Gold medals in the past 8 Virginia Governor's Cup wine competitions than any other Virginia winery, and has been featured in numerous national publications. In addition to the Virginia winery, Michael owns a winery in Burgundy, France and imports these wines to the United States. Guests are welcome to taste the Virginia wines and the Burgundy wines.

Really lovely little place. Loved the merlot that I had. It was fruity and smooth. The ambiance was peaceful. The staff was extremely friendly. I will definitely be going back!
